Sponsors of the Scottish Export Awards, HSBC and Scottish Enterprise have shortlisted Trig Avionics as a potential winner of Small Scottish Exporter of the Year.

The winner of the award category will be announced at a prestigious awards ceremony on the 22nd of March. Trig has beaten off stiff competition from over 40 Scottish companies to be nominated in the final 14 contenders.

Trig Avionics CEO Andy Davis said, “Exporting is a core part of our business, Trig sells to 42 counties around the world. It is great to receive this recognition of our success, being nominated alongside other top Scottish companies.”

Trig is a major manufacturer in Scotland and exports 80% of its avionic products outside the UK.

Paul Lewis, managing director of Scottish Enterprise International Operations, said: “Congratulations to all the shortlisted companies. It’s great to see so many high calibre companies enter the awards. Scotland’s export potential is huge and that’s why we want to help as many companies as possible to reap the benefits of exporting and drive their business growth.”
