Vacancy – Customer Support Team
Customer Support Engineer
Trig Avionics manufactures class leading products for general aviation, sold through our dealer network in 42 countries around the world. These products include VHF radios, transponders, and navigational equipment.

We need a Customer Support Engineer who will deal with customer enquiries, providing clear helpful advice (on the phone and via e-mail). Your positive customer empathy and strong interpersonal skills will result in a successful avionics installation or the diagnosis of a potential problem. You will use your technical skills to arrange repairs, that comply with stringent aviation standards. This requires you to be highly organised and meticulous in problem reporting and communication with colleagues. With a passion for aviation, you are self-motivated with a flexible, positive and responsive approach to all types of customer challenges.
It is essential that you will have received relevant technical training, ideally in aircraft systems, electronics, or avionics. You must have at least two years of experience which may be in a customer facing role. You have experience of dealing with complex technical documentation, e.g. manuals and schematics. You can take complicated concepts and technical detail and effectively communicate these to a non-expert audience, which may include group presentations.
You must be a fluent English communicator – German and/or French would be advantageous. Technical skills in soldering and using hand tools and arranging / scheduling repairs would be ideal.
Trig will provide thorough training in all aspects pertinent to this aviation role. You will be required to travel and on occasions work at trade events during weekends. This role will be based in Edinburgh, Scotland or in Amersfoort, the Netherlands.
